The Clay is where ROK began — our flagship, and the one our barbers reach for most. A medium, flexible hold with a natural, low-shine finish that never turns crunchy or greasy. White kaolin clay gives thickness and grip while plant oils keep it pliable, so you can restyle through the day. 100% vegan, handmade in small batches in Britain.

Who it's for: all hair types and textures, worn by men and women alike — best for short-to-medium styles wanting definition and a matte-leaning finish.

How to use: warm a pea-size amount between your palms, then work through dry or towel-dried hair from root to tip and shape. Prep fine hair with The Powder first for extra lift.

How to use

For the all-rounder matte, structured style, work a small amount into the hands then onto towel-dried hair, and blow dry to create texture and lift. Finish off with a comb or fingers, adding small amounts of the clay/paste as desired. If you want to enhance your look, we recommend using ROK Powder on the roots for a little extra volume and texture.

    Fabulous smelling styling clay, a little weak on hold for my fine hair.

    I'm a bit mixed on this hair clay, on the one hand I absolutely love the scent, it really is fabulous in my opinion, while not being at all over powering. However when it comes to hold, for my hair at least it falls just slightly short, it does add hold but not much, but then I do have very fine hair. This aside it doesn't feel at all sticky and by the end of the day you aren't left with hair looking like you have a product added so that is good.The tin looks quite classy, and as mentioned the smell is amazing. I'm giving 4 stars to this, it does the job and I like that it is very natural feeling and doesn't look or feel sticky or tacky.No irritation for me either. £9.95 I think is good value.

    Great hair clay that smells amazing!!

    This will be going in my son's stocking for Christmas, so it hasn't been properly used yet, but I did investigate quickly when it arrived.The tin itself is lovely - the design gives it an air of quality and style.Take off the lid and you'll first notice the smell. Oh my goodness, it smells like heaven!!! It reminds me of a cocoa butter body butter I had a few years ago which was my favourite. Needless to say, when my son uses this hair clay, I will sniffing his head a lot!! 😆The product itself looks like clay as it's grey in colour. It doesn't feel overly greasy, and I feel like it will be a great product for giving texture to a hairstyle, rather than the hold that a gel might provide.I think my son will be pleased with this.
